1. Before the research

    Send your request

Email me your request together with all the information you have, in detail, about your Italian ancestors.

  2. Share a family tree or form

If you have information on several individuals, send a family tree chart. If you are not comfortable with genealogy software, you can fill in a simple form and send a scan.

  3. Describe your aim

Explain clearly what you hope to achieve. The goal shapes the plan, the estimate and where the research starts.

  4. I review your information

I study what you have sent and identify the right places and records to search.

  5. Estimate and opinion

I answer with my estimate and my opinion on the project.

  6. Agreement for on-site research

For on-site research I prepare an agreement, signed by both of us.

  7. You accept the plan

Once you are happy with the plan and estimate, you confirm.

  8. Deposit

I ask for the deposit (retainer).

  9. During the research

    Research begins

I carry out the research within the agreed budget.

  10. Regular updates

I keep you constantly posted on how the research is progressing.

  11. Results

    Results ready

Once the results are ready — or once we decide to stop the research — I ask for the balance.

  12. Balance

    You pay the remaining balance.

  13. Delivery

I send the results to you, by email or through a shared Dropbox folder.

Start with step one
