I have a classical education: History, Latin, Ancient Greek, Philosophy and many other university subjects which constitute the basis of our culture.

Education

I attended Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, in the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy, on the degree course in History. During my university years I also carried out a research project on original fourteenth-century documents.

Research

In my genealogical research, when the records allow, I have traced families back to the sixteenth century.

Profession

I have worked as a professional genealogist since 2004. I am a member in good standing of the International Association of Professional Genealogists, whose code of ethics I respect.

Background

History is my training. Families are my work.

Genealogy for me is historical research applied to a family. Each project means reading original records, visiting the towns where a family lived and, when it helps, meeting the relatives who are still there.
